About the Role
Job Summary:
As a Lawn Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the lawns and outdoor spaces of our residential properties, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. Responsibilities:
Mow lawns using various types of mowers (riding, push, and zero-turn).
Trim edges, flower beds, and around obstacles.
Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed, following safety guidelines and regulations.
Remove weeds and debris from lawns and landscaped areas.
Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
Water lawns and plants as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Provide excellent customer service to residents.
Properly store and transport lawn care equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
Previous lawn care experience preferred, but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment safely and effectively.
Knowledge of basic lawn care techniques and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage from: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Tools & Equipment Needed:
Lawn Mowers:
Riding Mowers (various sizes, as needed for different properties)
Push Mowers (including self-propelled models)
Zero-Turn Mowers (as needed for larger properties)
Trimmers (Weed Whackers/String Trimmers): Professional-grade trimmers with adjustable heads and safety guards.
Edgers: Blade edgers and/or string edgers for creating clean edges along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds.
Blowers: Backpack blowers and/or handheld blowers for clearing leaves, grass clippings, and debris.
Hedge Trimmers: Gas-powered or electric hedge trimmers for maintaining hedges and shrubs.
Pruning Shears/Loppers: For trimming small branches and shrubs.
Sprayers: Backpack sprayers for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides (if applicable, with proper licensing).
Spreaders: Broadcast spreaders and/or drop spreaders for applying granular fertilizers and other materials.
Hand Tools: Shovels, rakes, hoes, and other hand tools for planting, weeding, and general landscape maintenance.
Fuel & Oil: Supply of fuel and oil for gas-powered equipment.
Safety Equipment:
Eye Protection (safety glasses or goggles)
Hearing Protection (earplugs or earmuffs)
Gloves (work gloves)
Long Pants and Sturdy Boots
Optional: Reflective vests or shirts for increased visibility
Additional Requirements Regarding Tools, Equipment, and Knowledge:
Lawn Care Specialists are responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and storage of all company-provided tools and equipment.
Any equipment malfunctions or damages must be reported to the supervisor immediately.
Lawn Care Specialists are required to follow all safety guidelines and procedures when using equipment and chemicals (if applicable). Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
Lawn Care Specialists must ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after each use.
Lawn Care Specialists may be required to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses or certifications for applying fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides (if applicable). The company may assist with training.
Knowledge of local plant life, common lawn diseases, and best practices for lawn care is highly desirable.
